The Woman Epitome

She who smiled for my first born cry,

lay in her cot ,left slowly to die

tears rolled down, my heart sunk deep

air filled with true hearts weep.

remember the day she dragged me to school,

my hand in hers to carve this fool,

oh my god ,is all this fine?

for it’s time to hold hers in mine.

stood there she at times of grief,

the iron lady behind the family’s chief,

day till dawn lost in her chores,

greeting in lieu her loved one’s roars

had I hurt you, take not to heart,

take me by you, try not to part.

can there be a world without you?

for mighty ships may sink without its crew.

lay down she struggling to say,

finally revealed ” sorry my dear, could make nothing for your day”(bday)

yes it struck me, it was the day I was born,

but before I could thank her she was gone,

“even today she left me with a smile, and I chose to cry”
